In our KI LAB studio, based in Vilnius since 2019, we create graphic design and print everything using a Risograph. It prints one colour at a time on uncoated paper with weights from 80-300 gsm, on sheets up to A3 size.

A range of different effects and colours can be obtained by overlaying individual colours and varying the paper stock.
The Risograph, Riso printer, or RISO printer duplicator is a stencil printer designed principally for high-volume duplicating. As a printing method, it sits somewhere on the spectrum between screen printing and offset lithography. What sets Riso apart is the unique aesthetic and highly tactile finish of the prints. Riso uses real ink, so prints are very tactile – you can really feel it. Originally intended for high-volume printing, Riso technology has since been adopted by artists and independent publishers. In recent years, Risograph printing has become increasingly popular with artists and designers around the world, and its economically and environmentally friendly aspects are key motives for this surge of interest. With Riso, the artist is able to manage every step of the process: designing, printing, and adapting the work based on the initial results.
